Original C.M. Russell Art Auction Sponsored by the Great Falls Ad Club.

David's landscape oil paintings "The Big Horn Mountains, Early Spring" and

"The Big Horn Mountains, Early Spring"

"The Big Horn Mountains, Early Spring", Oil on Linen, 30x40

"Higher elevations of the Big Horn Mountains are often covered with snow except from July through August.
In many years there is still an extraordinary amount of snow throughout the Big Horns in early Spring."

"Late Summer on the Firehole River"

"Late Summer on the Firehole River", Oil on Linen, 24X30

"The Firehole River flows through several geyser basins in the park including the Upper Geyser Basin,
which contains the world-famous geyser, Old Faithful. The river was named by early trappers for the steam
that makes it appear to be smoking as if on fire."

David's landscape oil paintings "Autumn at String Lake" and
"Spring Runoff" selected by jurors for the March 17-20, 2010
C.M. Russell Art Auction in Great Falls, MT

"Autumn at String Lake", Oil on Linen, 24x36

"String Lake is located in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming. This natural lake is quite shallow,
with sparkling green water and colorful rocks just under the surface. The lake is also prime moose habitat."

"Spring Runoff"

"Spring Runoff", Oil on Linen, 24x30

"At the far end of Wellington Lake, in the Colorado high country, water from the Spring snowmelt
cascades over a rocky ledge, adding to the annual life-giving runoff in the Rocky Mountains."
